MY STORYVivian is a highly accomplished Senior Privacy Engineer with over 5 years of experience specializing in developing and implementing cutting-edge solutions for responsible data use and protection. Her expertise spans privacy assessments, translating complex legal and regulatory requirements (including GDPR and CCPA) into actionable privacy programs, and driving the adoption of privacy-enhancing technologies.
Vivian is actively involved in the tech community as Co-founder of Techrise Global, Co-creator of the Africans@Google Washington Chapter, and a judge for the Globee International Awards. She holds a Master's and B.Sc. in Computing & Information Science from Cornell University.
When she's not thinking about privacy or inclusion in tech, you can find her at the gym, hosting a dinner party, or reading a book.
At Google, she has led privacy assessments for numerous acquisitions, developed and implemented automated solutions for data governance, and spearheaded initiatives to ensure compliance with evolving data protection standards. A recognized thought leader, she has presented at conferences on topics like AI strategy and privacy in VR, and is a Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT). She is currently pursuing certification in Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP).
